St-Thomas, QC – December 4, 2024 – Harnois Greenhouses and Dubois Agrinovation are announcing a strategic partnership to deliver turnkey solutions for field and berry crop growers across Canada and the United States. This initiative follows a successful joint project in Quebec that led to the installation of 170 TunnelPro Plus greenhouses paired with Dubois’ custom irrigation systems.
Together, the two companies are addressing the growing needs of growers looking to protect their field crops by offering a comprehensive solution: large tunnel greenhouses combined with precisely tailored irrigation systems for each block. Designed for areas starting at ½ hectare, this new offering aims to improve predictability, increase yields and crop quality, and significantly reduce operating costs.
A Proven Partnership for Field Crop Growers
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering real solutions to growers. Their joint project resulted in the installation of over 170 large tunnel greenhouses, which, in the first season alone, showed increased productivity and a significant reduction in labour and machinery costs. Thanks to crop protection and the accuracy of drip irrigation systems, growers also reported reduced water usage and lower reliance on crop protection products.
“This strategic partnership with Dubois Agrinovation allows us to provide growers with a turnkey solution that meets today’s market demands and the challenges of climate change. The results of our collaboration clearly show that combining our large tunnels with precision irrigation not only increases yields, but also improves product quality and predictability. The added ability to start earlier and extend the season with greenhouse protection is a major advantage for growers,” says Corenthin Chassouant, VP of Greenhouse Sales at Harnois Greenhouses.
“By partnering with Harnois Greenhouses, we’ve brought together our expertise to create a practical solution tailored to the new realities of the market. Our irrigation systems, when paired with large tunnel greenhouses, ensure optimal resource use and improved water management—contributing to more environmentally conscious agriculture. We are proud that this solution is delivering real value to growers, as demonstrated by this major project,” adds Martin Charbonneau, VP of Sales at Dubois Agrinovation.
